ProPay has announced its partnership with eBay online auction under which it will provide its services for eBay sellers. ?ProPay is looking forward to providing alternative merchant services to help improve the buying and selling experience. We welcome the opportunity to support the advanced eBay power sellers, who we anticipate will benefit most from the comprehensive payment solutions we provide,? commented Greg Pesci, ProPay Executive Vice President of Business Strategy.
eBay sellers will require new ProPay eAuction merchant accounts to use ProPay?s merchant services integrated with eBay checkout. Sellers can apply for eAuction accounts online at ProPay in late October, and ProPay will conduct a thorough screening process before accepting applications. The company plans to provide details about the eAuction offering within the next several days.
"We have been extremely pleased with the efforts eBay is making to share data with us so we can help improve the buyer/seller experience," Pesci continued. "eBay has also agreed to filter out any transactions dealing with mature/adult products. Not supporting these types of purchases is a long standing practice at ProPay and was a make or break decision for us with regard to integrating with eBay."
The new online processing features are a strategic expansion to ProPay?s extensive payment offerings, which also include processing via a virtual terminal, direct API, any touch tone phone, email invoices, and the recently released secure ProPay Card Reader.
