Yesterday we published the news concerning the massive blockage of Liberty Reserve accounts that started several days ago. Unfortunately until now we don't have any clear explanation from Liberty Reserve authorities of these issues. Obviously the main reason for the lack of information is the downtime of the service itself.
Yesterday the official Liberty Reserve blog posted update saying that their website would be offline for several hours. Today when i entered the official blog of Liberty Reserve is discovered tat initial message has been edited. It currently says:
"Liberty Reserve will be unavailable:
From August 20 until August 22,
This upgrade will give you a faster, more productive system.
Thank you for choosing Liberty Reserve."
2 days instead of 2 hours... looks strange, still i wouldn't panic if i were you. The situation like that, meaning downtime of the Liberty Reserve site used to happen in the past. The fact downtime takes so much time may be the evidence they are having serious technical troubles that possibly caused massive account blockage. And hence i may assume that while the site is offline, the technical department of Liberty Reserve is working hard to fix all the troubles and solve the issue with the blocked accounts.
In any case, we have 2 more days to wait for the outcome. On August 22 it will become clear, whether we should be afraid to lose the leading payment processor or not. So far, let's sit back and wait.
