Yesterday, a banner was posted on the site, warning of the possible incompatibility of Bitcoin with some major services. Banner refers to a blog post that criticizes SegWit2x and the companies that support it. In it it is asserted that the supporters of SegWit2x will entice their users into an altkok not compatible with the real Bitkoin network. Bitcoin.org encourages its readers not to use the services of a number of firms to store their stocks of BTC-firms that support the idea of a new hard-core.
The post continues to criticize the supporters of SegWit2x for pushing a hasty modernization supported by a strong minority and completely rejected by users and the technical community. Bitcoin.org does not recommend the use of wallets, exchanges or other services, which in fact came out of the Bitcoin ecosystem in a contentious manner.
Finally, the message lists the names of 48 companies that support SegWit2x, which, according to the resource, users of bitcoins should avoid. The list includes many well-known companies, including Coinbase, ShapeShift, BitPay and Xapo. Several companies named in the message last week, including the Chile's bitball exchange SurBTC, withdrew support for SegWit2x and were not listed in today's warning.
Japanese IT-giant Fujitsu and three large banks of Japan announced a pilot p2p project for money transfers using blockchain technology.
Fujitsu, in partnership with Mizuho Financial Group, Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group and Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, will carry out operational tests of the cloud computing platform for sending funds between individuals, as well as an application for smartphones that is designed to improve the usability of the system.
Theoretically, the platform will bind client accounts from three banks to the block system. Then, customers will be able to use the application to send money, as well as to make deposits and withdraw funds. Along with the transfer of value, a trial version of the block will also check the functions of clearing and settlement.
Fujitsu is still working on developing the platform, and construction will continue for the next three months, the release said. It is expected that the system will be tested from January to March 2018.
