Did you know that the first mouse was created 40 years ago? It was wooden device with one button on the top and with a wheel tracking movement. It got the name 'mouse' due to the cable which hang from the back.

Douglas Engelbart came up with the idea in the early 60's while exploring the interactions between human and computer. In 1968 the mouse was showed in a 90-minute public demonstration at the Fall Joint Computer Conference in San Francisco. The first commercial mouse was released in 1981 with the launch of the Xerox Star computer, but it became popular with the launch of The Apple Macintosh in 1984 after Apple acquired the technology.
