Western Union increased its grants through its Our World, Our Family program to $9.1 Million. It is a sixty seven percent increase compared to its commitment last year.
Our World, Our Family program is a global citizenship initiative conducted by Western Union focuses on providing families education and economic opportunity programs that assist them in removing barriers and fulfill their dreams.
The recent $2 million donation through the Our Family, Our World program partially goes to the Agent Giving Circle program. The program has created 35 Agent Giving Circle grants among Western Union Agents around the world. Every donation an agent makes focuses on supporting a non-profit organization to contribute to communities.
So far, the 35 Agent Giving Circles have made positive changes in the lives of families in the following 19 countries: Afghanistan, Belize, Botswana, Croatia, Egypt, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Madagascar, Nepal, Pakistan, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, UAE, U.S.A
