Quite an expected email was sent out by the administration of UnicornInv (unicorninv.com) program. It is informed that the program is closed. Why am I saying it was expected? The thing is that Unicorninv stopped processing payouts to LibertyReserve after the weekend and payments for Monday August 15 were not processed. That day the administration sent out a newsletter explaining that it was not their fault but some technical issues with LR. We published an article “UnicornInv LR Delays”.

At that time the program was operating for 260 days. As you know, UnicornInv paid 1% on every business day and 6% weekly without expiry. You could stay with a program for as long as you wished but there was a rule that you had a right to withdraw your principal not earlier than after 180 business (!) days. If we do some simple calculations, we will see that 260 calendar days is around 184 business days. This means that from now on all investors would start requesting their principals back. Therefore UnicornInv simply collected money and left.

The reasons are clear. However, this is how it works in HYIP industry and there is nothing to regret about. UnicornInv turned out to be a good program which helped many investors who joined it in the beginning make good profits. Of course, it’s too bad that they did not return initial deposits but the good thing is that the website of the program is gone, so even those investors who don’t keep track of events and do not know about the situation with UnicornInv, won’t be able to make a deposit and therefore won’t lose their money.
