The largest payment processor Stripe officially launched the full integration of Bitcoin payments after of year of beta testing mode. Starting from now on, Stripe allows all merchants included to the network accepting Bitcoin with converting them into USD. The standard API integration for completing payment for the goods does not require any extra efforts. The bitcoins are accepted automatically.
One of official Stripe representatives confirmed the beta-testing period was rather promising for the reason the volunteer merchants, who took part in this beta-testing had all chances to increase both local and international payments. They received bitcoin orders from more than 60 countries with no risk at all. The entire team looks forward to the further integration.
The Stripe is a company based in San Francisco. It is obviously among the leaders on the market of US payment processing. The company was rather careful about complete integration of bitcoin. The bets testing mode was lasting for a year. Even though the CEO of the company, Mr. Greg Brockman, has earlier in one of the interviews shared the opinion about high potential the Bitcoin crypto currency has.
Starting from March 2014 Stripe started to learn the technology and test bitcoin payments, when the trial project aimed at integrating with one of the clients, Tarsnap company, was launched. Per every Bitcoin transaction, the commission is fee of 0.5% is planned to be taken by Stripe. The fee is significantly smaller than the average rate in the industry (1.5-2.5%).
Last December, Stripe announced the beta testing is in process. At the same time Stripe declared it is the start of the full integration of Bitcoin payments in January, which further on was moved further to the end of February. So the moment has come.
