The price on Bitcoin has achieved its maximum rate during the year 2015. Today in the morning the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price (BPI) index, which is showing actual average price of the vitual currency reached $333.75.
The index opened at $313.31 and by 8:16 a.m. (UTC) it grew by 6.5% to $333.75. By the time of publishing the news it fell down a bit to $320.46.
At the beginning of the year the price of one Bitcoin was $313.92. Within first two weeks of the year 2015 the price fell down significantly by more than 43% down to $177.28. During the previous months the price was fluctuating around $250. Since the second decade of September stable growth of the Bitcoin price index has been observed. Two days ago the Bitcoin index reached $300 points for the first time since July 13.
Today the Bitcoin price achieved its absolute maximum for the year 2015 and increased the index shown on January 1, 2015 by 6.2%. Nevertheless, comparing the currency index with the price of Bitcoin on January 1, 2014 ($770.44), the price of the cryptocurrency fell down by 57% anyway.
