SatoshiPay Bitcoin start-up in cooperation with the innovations department of Visa Europe have introduced the new cryptocurrency project. Since May 5 2016 Visa company has started analyzing cryptocurrency micropayments for the devices that go online. At the same time the company representatives acknowledged it's being considered using such technical solutions as "clever lamps", which pay for the electricity they consume along with cryptocurrencies.
SatoshiPay founder Meinhard Benn told the project involves the integration of the startup's technology with Visa's card payments structure, allowing for automated micropayments from a person's Visa account to a SatoshiPay wallet. He added: "The task is to establish a safer method of purchasing small amounts of bitcoin using credit and debit cards".
Currently Visa wants to understand how this particular technology may be used for making machine-to-machine payments and payments to IoT devices. It also needs to be mentioned for Visa it's not the first project connected with cryptocurrencies. Last year the company introduced the remittance app concept developed in partnership with Epiphyte.
