BitAeon places a security warning followed by multiple attempts to hack customers accounts, risk of phishing attacks, fake domain warning, 2FA importance

As it's been recently reported by the admin of BitAeon there were recently observed continuous attempts of fraud towards the customers and with a view to that the management of the project places a security warning to keep the customers' accounts safe and secure.

It's been reminded that BitAeon staff will NEVER offer you services outside the platform. As it goes in the statement: "We do not contact members privately and if someone does you can be sure that they are NOT official employees. All investment operations are processed ONLY via our web platform."

There's a warning about multiple persons who are pretending to be members of BitAeon staff and are sending fake offers. They copy the profiles of BitAeon Telegram group admins and pretend to be them. Make sure to verify the usernames to make sure any message is fake or not. It is highly recommended to report such persons to block them ASAP.

Once again there is a reminder of one and only genius domain 'bitaeon.io'. Any others are considered to be fake and malicious. Special attention is taken towards e-mail and phishing attempts by malicious services as well as sending the news "on behalf" of BitAeon: "BitAeon will NEVER send you emails advertising other websites. It is extremely easy to fake the outgoing email address and some of our members have received mails that appear to be sent by us but lead to malicious websites. All official news and announcements are always posted on the website and if you receive something that is not here, delete the email as soon as possible."

One of the best ways to secure yourself and keep the account safe is to setup 2FA:

How to setup 2FA:
1) Download the Google Authenticator App
2) Access BitAeon and navigate to the 2FA page
3) Write down the code – in case you lose your current device you can restore the 2FA access on any other device
4) Scan the QR code in the Google Authenticator App
5) Enter the 6 digit code and press Enable 2FA.
