Residents of British Columbia and Quebec will be able to make their remittances at low fees to countries in Latin America, Africa, Europe and select countries in Asia including the Philippines. MoneyGram International, a global payment services company, introduced new low pricing across these two Canadian provinces to allow customers make cheaper money transfers especially during the holiday season.
Tony Samour, MoneyGram's director of product management, notes that the low pricing introduced by the company is aimed at helping customers ‘have greater control over their financial resources and to maximize the funds they are able to send'. He also adds that this is especially important during December as long as it implies Christmas celebrations in many countries. Thus, Canadian residents in British Columbia and Quebec now can make money transfers at lower fees to Mexico, the Philippines and most countries in Latin America, Africa and Europe.
MoneyGram provides affordable money transfer services across its global network of 162,000 agent locations in 180 countries and territories. A MoneyGram money transfer can be completed in as little as 10 minutes, subject to agent hours and availability. A currency exchange fee may apply.
